First and foremost, even though I am a huge Spurs fan and hope they do win it all, if they beat Phoenix in Game 5 tomorrow night, how can anyone in their right mind not think it was primarily due to Amare Stoudamire and Boris Diaw having been suspended after coming off the bench in Game 4? I want the Spurs to win, but I want them to beat the Phoenix Suns in all their glory. At this point, if the Spurs do win, it'll be no different (winning while two of the Suns stars are out) than if Steve Nash had broken both ankles at the end of the Lakers series and missed the entire Spurs series. If he had been out, everyone would've expected the Spurs to cruise (sweep?) but would've said how big a difference Nash would've made had he been in the lineup. At the very least, considering that Bowen wasn't suspended for any of his antics thus far, they should've given Stoudamire and Diaw a break with a "don't let it happen again" type of warning. Otherwise, similar to what Steve Nash himself said, you have to look at the whole policy. Players on the bench get up all the time after made shots, as timeouts are being called, etc. Sure, in those cases there are no "altercations" going on and the players are not trying to get involved in anything going on out on the court, but, if you're going to have a zero tolerance policy, then apply it at all times. Tell every nba player/coach/ref/etc that if you are not in the game, you cannot get up out of your seat unless you are moving to the scorer's table to check in or the whistle has sounded and timeout has been called. No getting up for poster dunks, last minute shots, fights, stabbings, nothing. Make it 100% or 0%, but don't let it be subjective, where the rule is enforced if it looks good or bad and then everyone and their moms can debate who got screwed which time.

That being said, what happened to B-Dizzle and the Warriors? They knock off Dallas and then crumble to Utah? I mean, I know that Golden State did have the Mavericks old coach so they may have had an inside track and I recognize that some teams will just always have a hard time with certain other teams, but the fact that the Warriors couldn't even hold serve at the Oracle for both games? Thanks for giving us a few extra weeks of Mark Cuban-less joy (during the playoffs no less), but couldn't you have at least taken it to 6 games?

Warriors, please see the events that transpired at the Palace at Auburn Hills for more information on overachieving and how to do it. Chicago was down 3-1 heading back to #1 seed Detroit's home court. Did anybody outside of Chicago give the Bulls any chance whatsoever of winning that game? I know I didn't. They still may not win the series, but going back to the windy city down 3-2 with a home crowd that has to recognize what the team is accomplishing...I think this series goes 7 now. Of course, for the Bulls to win, they'd will have to beat Detroit 3 games in a row, and I don't know of many teams that could do that in the postseason.
