Ok, so by now I've heard from multiple people about dominic monaghan's interviews since LOST's season finale saying that he is "dead, dead, dead, not coming back but maybe in a flashback dead," (or something to that effect), so it looks like i was wrong.  i still stand by my statement, that on LOST, people are not "dead" dead unless you watch them die on screen (like Tom/Gorton's Fisherman is dead dead).  apparently dominic wants to get into movies and nature shows (?) and decided he was done with LOST.  oh well. 

 

second, i'm wondering if mikhael (one-eyed-dude) was mortally wounded with the harpoon shot, but still had enough juice in the tank to get his scuba gear on, find a grenade and then use it to blow the window in the communication room of the looking glass station.  that is to say, if the grenade was strong enough, even under water, to blow the window open (a window that was pressure resistant to some depth just to keep the water from breaking it), wouldn't it have been strong enough to blow a whole in "cyclops" on the other side?  i guess i'm wondering if that was his last act?  he knew he was Grizzlied, might as well Grizzly charlie/desmond as his parting shot.

 

lastly, it occurred to me why charlie couldn't have run out the door and close it from the other side.  the door locked from inside, as we were shown when chickies went in to discuss charlie/contact ben and when mikhael went in to contact ben.  it had one of those big crank-lock things that keeps it extra secure and in this case, makes it secure from the inside.  so, if charlie had run out of the room, they would not have been able to keep the door closed and the whole station would have flooded.  it still seems like even if charlie did run out and say screw the door/station, between him and desmond, they would've had enough time to fix up two scuba tanks and swim to safety, before they were that flooded.  i guess we all have to die sometime.  way to end a friday post on a happy note!
