Weekly wrapup

Sunday, March 16, 2008

Well, I'm back from the void and posting again. Lets get to the biggest news first.

The University of Memphis Tigers received their #1 seed today. They were placed in the South regional and will play the #16 seed UT Arlington this coming Friday, March 21st. The #2 seed in our region is Texas, who just won the Big 12. After that the top seeds are Stanford (including future Grizzly Brook Lopez?), Pitt, MSU, Marquette, Miami and the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. Hopefully easy fodder in prepartion for our rematch with UCLA in San Antonio on April 5. Then UNC or Kansas (ha) on April 7 for the national title.

In the other battle arena, I have moved up to level 26 (mostly due to Team Doubles), but am still stuck on Captain, grade 2. At 282 experience points, I'm now 18 points away from Captain, grade 3 and 4 skill points away from Major. What did I say would happen?

As far as running goes, I'm still at 3.2 miles a day, 4 days a week. I have recently been varying the days I run on, thanks mostly to basketball season starting. I play on Thursday nights which makes it rather unpleasant to get up and run on Friday morning. I finished up the week with just over 13 miles, which puts me at just over 27 miles for the month. At my current pace, I'll break 50 miles for March.

And finally, Losing Big Sensibly at work? I'm still number one and I've opened up a 3.4% lead over the #2 person. Lets just say, I'm not too worried!

Have a good week everyone!
