One day at a time
Saturday, November 15, 2008
I just finished updating my stats on beginnertriathlete.com from last week. For Friday, November 14th, I ran 3.28 miles in 29 minutes and 16 seconds. Not overly impressive, even though I am happy that I broke 30 minutes again for the second time this week, but what it represents does impress me.
So far, for 2008, I have run for 24 hours, 17 minutes and 45 seconds, over 146.57 miles. 24 hours! I have run for more then a solid day this year. If you look at it that way, it does not sound like that much: 1 day out of 365, but I guess if you imagine running for 24 hours straight, it kind of puts it back into perspective.
I'm certainly not done running for the year, but I thought I would toot my own horn for a moment, in celebration of passing the 24 hour mark.

It is so cool to look back and see how far you have gone! I love looking at my training records. I remember I blogged about my goals for 2008 and I have blown up the amount of miles I thought I could do.
I saw where the St. Jude's half mary filled up at 8000 people already, so we better sign up for the 5K soon. Let me know what the goal time is for you.
