I planned on getting up early today and doing this the "right" way, but instead, I just went about it like normal. This morning I ran 5 miles with a time of 43:10 which produces a per mile time of 8:38. For comparison's sake, my last 4 mile run was at 34:09 and had a per mile time of 8:30. I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably not going to win any medals or anything, but I was satisfied (impressed actually), with my ability to:
a. run 5 miles without dying (fingers still crossed, I guess)
b. only increase my per mile time by 8 seconds
c. run 5 miles without dying
I guess I should not say for sure that this is the new style, although someone once told me that you can always increase your scheduled runs, but never decrease them. In my experience, I've found that to be very true.
I know your next question is related to #MusicMonday. Don't worry, that post is still in the oven and will be ready to be feasted upon shortly. (Two posts in one day! The world must be coming to an end, right?)

Sounds like a smart, talented guy to me, probably should listen to him more often!
