Driving > Disco

So, after going several weeks without any updates of any kind, I'm sure you have all but given up on Driving > Disco, but fear not. I'm back with a new #MusicMonday and a pledge of more consistent posting.

First things first, the music. Daniel Victor Snaith is an electronic musican from Ontario that used to go by the stage name of Manitoba. After some very odd legal issues, he now goes by the name Caribou. If you don't like electronic music, then you probably won't like this song, but I think it is pretty good. My favorite track by him ("Kid You'll Move Mountains") was apparently not available on Youtube, so I've provided one of my other favorites from his catalog.

(after a slightly more in depth scouring of youtube, I did manage to find a portion of the track "Kid you'll move mountains," although the video is definitely not the "official" video and you only get to hear about a third of the actual track. it is set to the video of a couple of dudes who are, how do I say this...mountain unicycling. Yes, I know you were expecting something dirty after "video of a couple of dudes who are..." and actually, so was I, but no, it's nothing dirty. Just dudes...riding unicycles...on mountain bike trails. the second half of the video has Daft Punk's "Digital Love," playing, which is in and of itself, not a bad track either. Link only this time, as I'm sure the description has already turned off anyone who was still reading this far down. The track is only played for about 2 minutes, fyi...)

Now, if you really are still attached at this point, good for you. You are either really impressed by what I have to say, really bored or really stalking me. Possibly some combination of the three, but regardless, good for you. My "pledge" is just to post more often. I guess the point of this whole thing is for me to provide updates on what is going on with my world, so, even if I don't have some well crafted, expertly worded post (I'll let you know when the first one of those is ready), it'd still be good to give minor updates.
