Last post 9.1.09...wow. Even I'm surprised by that. In my defense, I was on vacation for a week in there, and how can you blog coherently on the first Monday back from vacation. That should get me off the hook for at least two posts right? Oh well, let me just get you musicing and see if that evens the deal.

Way back in 2006, the Silversun Pickups released an album called Carnavas. First up on the disc is a song called Melatonin, which, in my opinion, is one of the finest opening tracks for a cd that I have ever heard. I would dazzle you with my knowledge of their history (or at least the speed at which I can poach links from their Wikipedia entry), but let me just leave it at this: these guys are probably my favorite act right now and I suggest you check them out too.
